BASIS CRSP
Broadening Access and Strengthening Input market Systems (BASIS) Collaborative Research Support Program (CRSP)
BASIS CRSP is a USAID-funded program which is managed by the University of Wisconsin. Beginning in 1996, BASIS CRSP is dedicated to the kind of innovative research that significantly impact development policy and programming.
From 2001 to 2005, MSU faculty William Derman and Anne Ferguson were involved in the study of water policy in Southern Africa and the effects of decentralization of water resource management on poor farmers and women of the region. Partners for this project included the Bunda College of Agriculture in Malawi and the Centre for Applied Social Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe.
