Ugandan Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Program (APEP)

The Uganda Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Program (APEP) is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and began in 2003.

The Institute of International Agriculture partially funds a Biotechnology and Biosafety Coordinator based in Uganda who is responsible for working with stakeholders and team members in order to meet project objectives.  These objectives include training and capacity building in biotechnology research and development, intellectual property and technology transfer, biosafety and public awareness/outreach.
