IIA Projects

AMARTA Indonesia

The Indonesia Agribusiness Market and Support Activity (AMARTA) project was awarded under a contract by USAID Indonesia to Developing Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). The project works with fruit growers, plantations, fruit processing firms, and others involved in growing, processing, and marketing fruit products to improve their productivity and creating and preserving product quality. AMARTA works closely with participants thoughout the value chain to ensure that their businesses preserve and create higher quality for raw products.

The Institute for International Agriculture (IIA) at Michigan State University (MSU) provides specific technical assistance in supply chain improvements through expert consultants in flower and banana production aiming at reducing post-harvest losses, adding value and improving coordination from production to wholesalers and retailers.
